Norris Eddens Hoffpauir, 89, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011.
Mr. Hoffpauir served his country during WWII. He was a member of the U.S. Army 256th Combat Engineers. He participated in the invasion of France, Germany and Austria. After his military service he worked in the oil field and retired from Reed Tool Co.
He is survived by his wife, Iva Morgan Hoffpauir; daughter, Cheryl (Darrell) Pennisson; son, Jamie (Ronda) Hoffpauir; one grandson, Cullen Hoffpauir; and step-grandchildren, Heather Hutchinson and Bronson Loring.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neville and Elena Boulet Hoffpauir; three sisters, Matilda Spell, Irma Hoffpauir and Annie “Sis” Morgan; and two brothers, Leamon and Bruce Hoffpauir.
He is interred at Indian Bayou Cemetery. (Geesey-Ferguson of Crowly, La.)
