Benjamin joins CIS surgical staff

Octavia C. Ledet, 82, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Sunday, April 20, at 10:25 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Cleveland Ledet Sr. and wife Sandra, Richard Ledet and wife Janice, Billy Ledet and wife Rosalie and Roy Ledet Jr. and wife Dianna; daughters, Linda Rogers and husband Rickie and Doris Griffin and husband Louis; brother, Johnny Champagne; sisters, Emily Ledet and Gertrude Matherne; 18 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ledet Sr.; parents, Alcest and Idolia F. Champagne; brother, Pierre Champagne; sisters, Irma Babin, Theresa Aupied, Mae Dufrene, Beatrice Monier and Vivian Adams; and three grandchildren.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at St. Mary Catholic Church with a mass of Christian burial to follow. She will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
