Odessa Bourg Foret, 79, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
Mrs. Foret was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend. She was in the floral profession since the age of 14 and was the owner and operator of Bayou Florist for the past 38 years.
She is survived by her sons, Danny (Terry) and Rickey Foret; daughters, Susan (Dwayne) Duplantis and Cindy Foret; brother, Mitchel Bourg; sister, Elizabeth Vial; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Foret; parents, Louis and Margaret Bourg; brothers, Taylor, Andy and Harrison Bourg; and sisters, Evelyn Grabert, Virgie Rogers, Betty Jean Sorola, Mary Ann Duplantis and Catherine Roger.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at St. Bernadette Church with services to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 at a later date. (Samart)
