Robert C. Danos, 76, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
Mr. Danos began his career as an oilfield roustabout and ended as a drilling superintendent. He was a tubing instrument technician at Bollinger of Lockport where he retired at age 71. His hobbies included work, work, work and teaching others to work.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Laura Danos; sons, Lelan (Susan) Danos and Timmie (Mary) Hebert; daughters, Rachel (Bryan) Dufrene and Lorell Danos; brother, Harris Danos; sister, Judy Adams; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armand and Vella Danos; brothers Emmette and August Danos; sisters, Ruth Charpentier, Genevie Ramaggse, May Duet and Eugenie Guidry; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, April 11, and 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, April, 12, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport with burial at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Larose, La. (Falgout)
