February 19, 2014Oliver Queen Sr., 72, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Baton Rouge, La., died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014.
Mr. Queen was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired laborer.
He is survived by his sons, Oliver Jr. (Candice), Otis and Aaron Queen and Kailin Lemieux; daughters, Olivia and Crystal Queen; brothers, Ernest, Alvin Sr., Louis Jr. and Leonard Queen; sisters, Eva Shanklin, Effie Price, Gwendolyn Franklin and Betty Ann Antoine; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Sr. and Effie Queen; and daughter, Deanna Queen.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Thibodaux with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Williams & Southall)
