Osa Lula Bennett Hunt, 88, a native of Cambria, Okla., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 20.


She is survived by two sons, James Ronald Hunt and wife Brenda of Houma, and Bruce Loren Hunt and wife Tammy of Houma; four grandchildren, Krista Savoie, Sean Chauvin, Meghan Whitten and Jaimee Bonvillain; seven great-grandchildren, Kameron Savoie, Cort Chauvin, Ava Chauvin, Alexis Whitten, Taylor Bonvillain, Christopher Bonvillain Jr. and James Bonvillain; and two sisters, Lora Deligans of Houma and Milly Dunn of Minnesota.


She was preceded in death by her husband James Arthur Hunt Jr.; parents, Emmett Arthur Bennett and Alta McAtee Bennett; and one sister, Marie Morris.

She was a homemaker, a charter member of Mulberry Baptist Church and a past member of Mulberry Keenagers. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a den mother for the cub scouts. She was the PTA president at Honduras School.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
