Patricia “Patsy” Richard Yates, 72, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 7:30 p.m.
She is survived by two sons, Dwayne M. Yates and Leslie B. Yates; one daughter, Lisa M. Oubre and husband Ricky; two brothers, Guy Richard and Larry Richard; three sisters, Joyce Fields, Janice Topey and Emily Marse; five grandchildren, Shawn Yates, Aaron Oubre, Ricky Yates, Sara Yates and Destanie Folse; and two great-grandchildren, Alexsia Oubre and Mary Grace Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J.W. Yates, two sons, Rickie Yates and Keith Yates; her parents, Guy Richard and Emily Aupied Richard; and grandparents, Arthur Richard and Emilena Richard, and Thomas Aupied and Marie Aupied.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Landry’s Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of the arrangements.
