Patricia “Patty” Ann Van Kessel Fonseca, 68, a native of Miami and a resident of Montegut, La., died Saturday, March 8, at 9:45 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, James Fonseca of Monegut; sons, James Fonseca Jr. of Georgia and George Fonseca of Houma, La.; daughter, Dalane Fonseca of Houma; grandchildren, Brandi Babin, Christopher Fonseca, Randy LeBoeuf Jr., Amber Huffman, Gabe Fonseca, Hayden Fonseca, Dylan Fonseca and Myah Marie; and great-grandchild, Maegan Long.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Van Kessel and Jessie Gertrude Cook Van Kessel; and numerous brothers and sisters.
She was a retired nurse for Terrebonne General Medical Center and for the state, a Cub Scout Pack Leader and a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, March 10, and 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 1:30 p.m. She will be buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
