Paul Joseph “P.J.” Zeringue Jr., 80, a native and resident of Raceland, LA., died at 7:22 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2007.


Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux, LA. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Raceland.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bernard Zeringue; three sons, Donald P. Zeringue and wife, Susan Simon Zeringue, Keith J. Zeringue and wife, Helen Blanchard Zeringue, and Bruce P. Zeringue; four daughters, Marilyn Z. Vesich and husband, Anthony III “A.J.”, Mona Z. Roe and husband, Charles “Bill” Roe, Gail Z. O’Gwynn and husband, Brad J. O’Gwynn, and Mary Ellen Z. Kothmann and husband, Henry P. Kothmann III; three brothers, Joyce “Joe”, Jerry and Oscar Zeringue; two sisters, Ruby Naquin and Betty Abel; and 10 grandchildren, Brett M. Zeringue and wife, Leslie, Janie E. O’Gwynn, Allison M. Zeringue, Kathryn E. Zeringue, Maria E. Zeringue, Paul J. O’Gwynn, Andrew J. Zeringue, Matthew J. O’Gwynn, Brittany M. Roe and Brandon M. Roe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Ada Arcement Zeringue; two brothers, Leroy and Francis Zeringue; and one sister, Nellie Nunez.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
