Philip Paul Stevens, 85, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La. died Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at 2:40 p.m.


He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Stephens and Sandy S. Borne and husband, Douglas; one sister, Hazel Stevens Hebert; two grandchildren, Marcia Graveson and Philip Wade Stephens; and four great-grandchildren, Harley, Kenneth and Christina Graveson and Paige Sprayberry.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Ursula Ybos Stevens; his parents, Emile C. Stevens and Josephine Brown Stevens; and three brothers, Willie P. Stevens, Alexander P. Stevens and Emile C. Stevens Jr.

Philip was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Protector Fire Company No. 2 and Krewe of Cleophas. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

Visitation is Friday, October 26, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Thibodaux Funeral Home. He will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
