Raymond Joseph Theriot, 77, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 8:34 a.m.
He is survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Gladys Theriot Christopher; two sons, Cody Gerard Theriot and wife Charlotte Hebert Theriot, and Ray Joseph Theriot and wife Wendy Norman Theriot; four daughters, Aileen Francis and husband Alvin Francis Sr., Christine Webre and husband Arthur Webre, Lola Mae May and Tressa Pellegrin and husband Clinton Pellegrin; one brother, Able Theriot and wife Mary Theriot; one sister, Gertrude Breaux; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi Joseph Theriot Jr. and Jeanne Adams Theriot; two sons, Julian Theriot and Cary Theriot; one daughter, Cindy Theriot; two grandchildren, Nicole Ann Daisy, Kelvin Joseph Francis; one brother-in-law, Alphonse Breaux Jr.; and 1 son-in-law, Martin “Cat” Guidry.
He was a member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.
