Raymond Paul Bergeron Sr., 73, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 15.

He is survived by his former wife, Marie Claire Blanchard; his companion, Rose Crochet; one son, Raymond “Skip” Bergeron Jr. and wife, Connie, of Chackbay, La.; four daughters, Vicky Blanchard and husband, Albert, of Houma, Jan Duplantis and husband, Elwin, of Houma, Laurie Pontiff of Houma, and Mona Hebert and husband, M.J., of Montegut, La.; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Boudreaux; and his mother, Eula Mae Bergeron Boudreaux.

He was a dispatcher at Frank’s Casing Crew and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He was a member of the Krewe of Kajuns, loved fishing and spending time at his camp. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
