Sightless entrepreneur sees giving as mission
April 15, 2011Rebecca “Becky” Foret Ricks, 59, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Metairie, La., died Friday, April 8, 2011.
Mrs. Ricks was the owner of Friedel’s Accounting and Tax Service, she was the co-owner of Crescent City Truck Parade and she was a board member of Little Rascals Carnival Crew. She was a graduate of Central Lafourche High School Class of 1969.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Rebekah Ricks; stepchildren, Stephen (Kathy) Ricks Jr., Cathy (Wayne) Colbert, Jerry and John (Kim) Ricks and Sue (Tree) Clark; nine grandchildren; mother, Nola Adams Foret; siblings, Kathleen (Randy) Guidry, David Foret, and Susan (Larry) Guidry; and her girls, Carmella and Wynn.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny P. Foret; and husband, Stephen Ricks Sr.
She is interred at Lafayette Cemetery No. 1.
