Reggie Augustin Hebert, 82, a native Montegut, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, April 30, 12:30 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Hazel Hebert; son, Reggie A. Hebert of Prairieville, La.; daughter, Rhonda A. Hebert of Destrehan, La.; step-son, Joey Rodrigue; sisters, Ruby and husband Weldon Savoie of Bourg, La., Norma Wilson of Houma, and Coralie and husband Wallace Ellender of Bourg; grandchildren, Reggie “Alex” Hebert, Amber Hebert, Beau Brister, Rae Robertson, Bridgette Myers Dupre and Travis Myers; and four great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Paul Hebert and Hazel Anne Blanchard Hebert; brother, Luby “Bobby” Hebert; and brother-in-law, Frank Wilson.

He was employed with Texaco for 39 years and was a member of the Texaco Club. He was a volunteer fireman, the head of the CYO in Montegut, a teacher in Montegut and a member of the American Legion in Montegut. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday May 3, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday May 4, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial at St. Francis Cemetery #2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
