Rev. Della Watkins, 82, a native of Bernie, Mo., and resident of Galliano, La., died at 1:52 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2011.
Rev. Watkins was the pastor of Bethel Christian Ministries in Galliano.
She is survived by her sons, Herbert (Donna) and Nathan Hayes; stepdaughters, Angela (Dr. Lance) Laplant and Dana Watkins Mink; one grandson, Andrew “Andy” Hayes; and two step-grandchildren, Chante’e and Angele’.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Rev. Frank Watkins; first husband, Herbert Edward Hayes; parents, Willie and Kate Katheren Davis Johnson; and son, Quinton Hayes.
She is buried at Cheramie Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
