Reverend Monsignor Emile J. Fossier, 90, a resident of Houma, La. died Saturday, June 23, 2007.
He is survived by his two sisters, Eunice F. Bennett and Celeste F. Martin., plus numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederic J. and Anaise Hymel Fossier; five brothers, Viola F. Ferro, Frederic J. Fossier, Jr., Reverend Father Ignatius “Camille” Fossier, Hubert J. Fossier, and Conrad J. Fossier; two sisters, Annabel F. Diebold and Claire O’Flynn.
Msgr. Fossier was ordained a Catholic Priest on December 18, 1945 and faithfully served the church for nearly sixty-two year.
Visitation is Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, the again on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 9:00am until the mass at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Houma. He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
