Rita Plaisance

Rita “Mea” Plaisance, 58, a native of Dulac, La. and a resident of Cut Off, La. died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 4:20pm.

She is survived by her son, Bobby Cupp; two daughters, Melissa “Missy” Usey and Melanie “Sissy” Plaisance; four brothers, Peter, Michael, Easton “Bee” Parfait; two sisters, Marie Verdin and Josephine Naccio; ten grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Tennessee” Plaisance, Sr.; parents, Abraham and Marie Parfait; one brother, Abraham Parfait, Jr.; two sisters, Margarite “Tootie” Cupp and Florence Soudlier.

Visitation is Saturday, June 23, 2007 from 9:00am until 1:00pm with the funeral to follow at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. She will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
