June 20, 2011Robert Smith Sr., 67, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, June 9, 2011.
Mr. Smith was Baptist.
He is survived by his sons, Raymond and Robert Smith Jr.; daughters, Connie Smith, Roxie Raymond and Erica Poindexter; former wife, Jo Ann Smith; brothers, Evan, Earl, Leonard, Herman, Jerry Lee and Sylvester Smith; sisters, Gustavia Richardson, Hattie Coleman, Vera Hodges, Amy, Patricia and Sandra Smith and Geraldine Jones; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Dorothy Smith Sr.; daughters, Cassandra and Jolene Robertson; sisters, Dorothy Smith and Emily William-Lee; grandparents Robert and Mary Jane Celestine and Jerry and Hattie Smith.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Raceland with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Kennedy)
