August 1, 2012Roland “Roggie” J. Gisclair, 80, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012.
Mr. Gisclair was a U.S. Army veteran and retired push boat operator. He was an avid gardener and known as Santa Clause for over 20 years. He was Catholic.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Gisclair; sons, Rickey (Patty), Steve (Cathy) and Billy (Mona) Gisclair; daughter, Susan (Ralph) Nicholson; brother, Herbert (Janet) Gisclair; sister, Betty (Joe) Rebstock, Nage (Roy) Guidry; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Isabelle Gisclair; and brother, Adam Gisclair.
Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
