Rose G. Gisclair, 77, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died at 3:01 p.m. Monday, May 12.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Gisclair Jr. and wife, Joanne; daughters, JoAnne Cheramie and husband, Aman Jr., and Dinah Duet and husband, Linton Jr.; brother, Clebert Guidry; grandchildren, Gary Gisclair Jr., Gage Gisclair, Chad Cheramie and wife, Kendra, Cindy Cheramie Peck and husband, Stephen, Candice Gisclair and husband, James, and Cida Gisclair; step-great-grandchild, Kayla Cheramie; and great-great-grandchild, Kira Ledet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Gisclair Sr.; her parents, Charlie Guidry Sr. and Cecile T. Guidry; brothers, Clement Guidry, Alexica Guidry, Charlie Guidry Jr. and Haywood Guidry; and sisters, Eugina Bruce, Marie “Bell” Crosby and Claymonce “Bodo” Lefort.
She was Catholic.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow with mass to follow. She will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
