She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and a friend to many people. She was the foundation of our family, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She lived a full life from taking care of her mother and her sister at 16 to having a family at 24. She went from a farmer’s daughter to a trapper’s wife and never stopped helping others. To Rosemae, there were no strangers. Rosemae and Paul raised 12 children in the former small community of Bayou Boeuf, La., (now Amelia) who were very devoted to her and loved her with all their hearts. She was a devoted member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia. She was a 40-plus year member of the Ladies Altar Society and Catholic Daughters. She loved attending mass.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 6, at Twin City Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, November 7, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.
