Rosemary Boudreaux Rousseau, 79, a native of New Orleans, La. and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, May 11.


She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth H. “Ray” Rousseau Sr.; two sons, Kenneth H. Rousseau Jr. and Kristopher G. Rousseau; one daughter, Maria R. Barrilleaux; seven grandchildren she will greatly miss, Derek, Drew, Nicole, Shane, Paige, Grant and Alyse; and one great-grandchild, Maya Renee’.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clarence Joseph Boudreaux Sr. and Mae Clarinda Ordoyne; and one brother, Clarence J. “Sonny” Boudreaux Jr.


She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and despite being ill for the past few years, always enjoyed life. She was a dedicated, retired team member of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, for mass intentions in her honor to, 721 Canal Boulevard, Thibodaux, LA 70301.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
