Rosemary “Mae Rose” Nevis, 73, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, March 6, 2012.
Mrs. Nevis was a member of Residence Baptist Church and retired from the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
She is survived by her husband, John Nevis Sr.; son, John Jr. (Lia) Nevis; daughter, Bridget (Garrett) Nevis; brothers, Louis (Pearly) and Charles Navy; sisters, Louise Wallace and Eula LaGarde; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Navy and Gladys Westley; brothers, Isaac, Jacob, Esau, John, Paul and Saul Navy; and sister, Olivia Robins.
