Haiti’s hardship helped by local charities

February 15, 2010Roy G. Gleason Sr., 84, a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, La., died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010.
Mr. Gleason was a retired employee of RTA Transit System.
He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Hooper Gleason; children, Fay, Keith Sr. and Kelly Gleason; sister, Doris Claire Hoyt; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son, Roy G. Gleason Jr.; and parents, James A. and Louise Mary Mattern Gleason.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
