Roy “Ricky” Miller, Sr., 52, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, December 15.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Miller; parents, William Miller, Sr. and Doretha Miller of Houma; son, Roy Miller, Jr. and wife Sarmona of Houma; daughter, Catisha Chism and husband Brandon of Raytown, Mo.; brother, William Miller, Jr. of Houma; sisters, Gloria James of Gray, La., Francis Wolfe, Terry Porche and husband Gerard of Houma, Joyce Madere and husband Harold of Dallas, Tx., Laverne Muse of Raceland, La., and Sheria Chipman of Kansas City, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Johnson, Sr. and Celestine Johnson and Hezekiah Myles and Edna Myles.
He was a Baptist and enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. He was employed by K & B Machine Shop.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 19, at Community Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 20, at First Baptist Church in Schriever, La., with burial at New St. Paul Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
