Ruby T. Benoit, 66, a native of Alexandria, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, May 7.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis B. Cantrelle and fiance, Marc Weems; sons, Alfred P. “Paul” Benoit Jr. and wife, Belinda, Kenneth “Kenny” B. Benoit and wife, Erica, and Darrell A. Benoit and wife, Cecia; brothers, the Rev. Carl Tyler and Peter Tyler Sr.; sisters, Lucinda Tyler, Frances T. Howard and Veola T. Smith; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jonathan, Jacob, Jarrett, Diamond, Julie, Clint, Zack, MaKayla, Jordan and Kayla; and great-grandchildren, Jaden, Brooklyn, Jaxx and Jyson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred P. Benoit Sr.; her parents, Bertha C. and Jim Tyler; grandchild, Faith Angela Benoit; great-grandchild, Jace Michael Williams; brother, Roy Lee Tyler; and sister, Mable Tyler.
She was a faithful member and co-founder of Emmanuel Christian Fellowship. She loved everyone and was loved by many.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, May 9, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel. She will be buried at Grace Christian Memorial Gardens in Houma, La.
