Rutha Lee Watkins, 72, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, April 7, 2011.


Mrs. Watkins was a member of Third Zion Baptist Church.


She is survived by her husband, Rev. Ernest Watkins; sons, Leonard (Dorothy), Malcolm, Randy (Winetta) and Brian Watkins; brother, Robert Johnson; stepbrother, Larry Fletcher; sisters, Cora Dumas and Shirley Johnson; stepsisters, Regina Mitchell and Mary Fletcher; ten grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor and Vinetta Johnson; brothers, Clarence and Moses Johnson; and sisters, Celestine Bathley and Judy Johnson.

She is buried at Third Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Raceland, La. (Kennedy)
