Salazie “Catin” Gisclair Triche, 86, a native of Galliano, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday January 13, at 12:55 p.m.


She is survived by her daughters, Barbara T. Bergeron and husband Lawrence of Houma, and Virgie T. Callais and husband L.J. of Houma; son, Roch R. Triche of Houma; grandchildren, Kelly D. Songe and husband Richard, Wayne A. Bergeron and wife Jackie, Bryan Burrell, Stephanie Bergeron, and Scott Triche all of Houma; great-grandchildren, Matthews W. Songe and wife Kristin, Casey R. Songe, Kaitlyn K. Songe, Brennan Burrell, Korinne Bergeron, Kaleb Gibbens and Kennedi Gibbens; great-great-grandson, Collin W. Songe of Avianna, Italy; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominique Jean Gisclair and Camilla Toups Gisclair; husband, Cleveland Triche; twin sons, Cleve and Morris Triche; sisters, Edna G. Guidry and husband Gustave, Noami G. Pitre and husband Manuel, Nordie G. St. Pierre and husband Valmont, Agnes G. Robertson and husband Otis “Red”, Augustine G. Bradberry and husband, Frederick, and Augusta G. Guidry and husband Louis (Crince); brothers, Dominique J. Gisclair Jr. and wife Artilize, Louis P. “Charlie” Gisclair, Nat Gisclair and wife Olive, Freddie Gisclair and wife Eula, and Gaston Gisclair and wife Eunice.

She was a devoted wife and mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother for over sixty-five years. She was a past member of the East Park Recreation Auxiliary Board, American Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, Altar Society and Houma/Terrebonne Auxiliary Marine Corp League.

She was buried at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
