Berwick student represents area in Student of the Year race

March 1, 2011Scotty Alex Sonier, 22, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Sharon Coglaiti Sonier; sisters, Tracy (Dereck) McGee and Amy (Ryan) Prosperie; five nieces and nephews, Breanna, Abby, Courtney, Bryson and Peyton; grandparents, Frances and Tommy James, Charles Sonier, Mark Coglaiti and Raymond Kraemer; his nanny, Karen “Mimi” Gros; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Brandy Sonier; his grandparents, Alice LeCompte Sonier and Rose Coglaiti; and one parrian, Terry Odom.
He is buried at Grace Christians Memorial Gardens. (Samart)
