Shirley N. Hanson, 71, a native of Emerson, Ark., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, February 5, 2008.
She is survived by her son, Rusty Hanson of Emerson; daughters, Debbie Kappel of Houma, Betty Dorman of Walker, La., and Lisa Gee of Houma; sister, Linda Montgomery of Emerson; grandchildren, Russ Belt of Emerson, Scotty Lewis of Greenwell Springs, La., Cole Dorman of Walker, Crystal Cooper of Robert and Farran Hanson of Emerson; and great grandchildren, Lane Cooper, Jaci Cooper and Bailey Cooper, all of Robert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Laura McDonald Cook; her husband, W.G. Hanson; sister, Elsie Williams; and an infant granddaughter.
Shirley was an Amfuel employee for more than 29 years.
She was buried in Emerson Presbyterian Cemetery.
Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
