Silas Martin Sr., 66, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 8:02 a.m.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joyce Martin; his 92 year old mother, Bella Martin; one son, Silas Martin Jr. and wife Kim; two daughters, Shelia Billiot and husband Doug, and Sherelle Martin; three brothers, Kirkland Martin, Luke Martin and Andrew Martin; one sister, Margie Boudreaux; six grandchildren, Kristen Smith, Robby Gros, Megan Martin, Amber West, Tyler Scott and Brandon Faye; and four great-grandchildren, Cali Smith, Karlee Bolin, Tre Gros and Kolten Bolin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Martin.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Bayou Blue Assembly of God with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Rogers Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
