Stella Granier Gravois, 93, a native of St. James, La. and resident of Vacherie, La., died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2007.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary G. Mowrey and husband, Daniel, and Joyce Anne G. Bakke and husband, Kenneth; one brother, Luke “Duck” Granier; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pierre Gravois; her parents, Luke Granier Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Thibodeaux Granier; five brothers, Louis, Charles, Joseph, John and James Granier; and three sisters, Sr. Mary Felicitas Granier, Evelyn Comeau and Edith Shaheen.
She was a retired schoolteacher of 34 years in St. James Parish.
Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
