Sterling Pierre Sr., 48, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Ray-Pierre; sons, Sterling Pierre Jr. and Johnathon Ray; daughters, Kembreanna Ray and Vandalaysha Edwards; sisters, Lorraine Fuselier, Ethel Poindexter, Rita (Arthur) Meads, Sherry (Charles) Nixon, Patricia (Lionel) Lewis, Marie Williams and Sarah Dunbar; brothers, Sidney (Beverly) Poindexter, Norman and Harry (Pauline) Pierre and Willie (Linda) and Roger Williams; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Audrey Pierre; grandparents, Peter Pierre, Sidney Scott and Agnes Smith; sister, Agnes Arvie; and brothers, Tommy and Robert Sr. Williams.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, at Jones Funeral Home and 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Dularge Community Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Crescent Farm Cemetery. (Jones)
