Sylvia R. Ayo

Sylvia R. Ayo, 100, a native of Bourg, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 9:57 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011.

Mrs. Ayo was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Donald (Jean) Ayo; daughter, Catherine (Roland) Boudreaux; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 78 years, Randolph Ayo; parents, Van and Josephine Rogers; son, Gerald Ayo Sr.; daughter, Mae Hitt; brothers, Clause, Llewellyn, Russell and Frances Rogers; and sisters, Beulah LeBouef, Mildred Rodrigue, Odette Schouest, Camille Boquet, Jacqueline Dugas and Rita, Barbara and Beverly Rogers.

Burial was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
