Valerie Carter, 51, a native of Memphis, Tn., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, January 3.
She is survived by her mother, Mildred Maxwell; brother, Dennis Maxwell of Houma; and sisters, Christina Maxwell of Illinois and Sandra Turner.
She was a homemaker and was Baptist.
She was buried at Southdown Cemetery.
Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
