Velma Matherne Hebert, a longtime resident of Houma, La., and resident of Houston, TX, died Monday, July 16, 2007.
She is survived by two sons, Allen “Jim” Hebert and Richard C. Hebert and their wives; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin R. Hebert Sr.; one son, Calvin Hebert Jr.; her parents; and six siblings.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007, at First United Methodist Church in Houma, with sharing of wonderful memories starting at 10:00 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the mission fund, c/o First United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Claire Brothers Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
