Verna Gros Guidry, 71, a native of Labadieville, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, May 4.
She is survived by her sons, Lester Jr., Lynn and Joseph “Joe” Guidry; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” G. Breaux; brother, Roy Gros; sister, Mary Ann Clement; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Guidry Sr.; her parents, Wilbert and Mildred Thibodeaux Gros; and one great-grandchild.
She was retired from Nicholls State University and active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux with mass to follow. She will be buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
