Baldone: BP’s attempt to quell future claims is ‘horrible’

Verna Mae Harrell, 92, a native of Church Point, La., and resident of Berwick, La., died at 9:17 p.m. Sunday July 17, 2011.
Mrs. Harrell was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a lifelong supporter of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, John (Georgia), Chris (Mary) and Sarah (Charles); five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Harrell; and granddaughter, Laura Anderson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Drs. Metz III, Lam, Michael Haydel and to Acadian Home Health and to Southern Care Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
Entombment was at the Morgan City Mausoleum. (Twin City)
