Brother Vincent Lee “Bean” Murray, 54, died at 10:16 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2011.


Mr. Murray was baptized at an early age at Old Fountain Baptist Church by the late Rev. Earnest Watkins Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Natisha (William) Scott; step-children, Qiana Blackledge, Cheryl Jones, David, Tonya and Edward Duncan, Sondra Travis, and Sean, Jeremy and Joshua Bergeron; Godchild, Sherita Carter; five grandchildren; a host of step-grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Jean (Sidney) Keller, Eyenetter (Leonard) Hackett and Gordia Murray; brothers, Otis James (Paulette), Paul and Bertrand Murray; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Mercedes Murray and William Scott; grandparents, Eddie Murray and Eveline Johnson; aunts, Gordia Mae Carter and Dora Murray; and his uncle/Godfather, Eddie Carter.

“Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believed in God, believe also in me. In my father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-4

He is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux, La. (Landry’s)
