Warren J. Hebert, 71, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, July 8, at 4 a.m.


He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Catherine Hebert; two sons, Michael Hebert and wife Ellen, and Christopher Hebert; four daughters, Angelique Hebert Wagner, Phyllis Hebert Constranstich and husband Owen, Monique Hebert Robert and husband Jean, and Celeste Hebert Gaharan and husband Charles; one brother, Malcolm Hebert; three sisters, Louana Gaudet, Gordan Ann Falgout and Camelia Vessels; and 16 grandchildren, Zack Wagner, Tyler Wagner, Dylan Wagner, Mark Hardy, Cloe’ Constranstich, Mia Constranstich, Emma Constranstich, Joseph Constranstich, Rene Robert, Maddie Robert, Celeste Robert, Hannah Gaharan, Natalie Gaharan, Alex Gaharan, Patrick Hebert and Thomas Hebert.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Frances LeBlanc Hebert.

He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church He was in the U.S. Navy and member of the American Legion. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking and spoiling his grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, July 10, at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
