Warren Joseph Foret, 76, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 4:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010.


Mr. Foret was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He and his wife of 54 years, Odessa Bourg Foret, also often went to casinos on weekends. He was a member of St. Bernadette Knights of Columbus. After leaving Texaco after 32 years, he opened Bayou Florist with his wife.


He is survived by his wife; daughters, Susan (Dwayne) Duplantis and Cindy Foret; sons, Danny (Terry) and Rickey (Kerry) Foret; nine grandchildren, Heath and Beau Duplantis, Dexter Broussard, Jennifer and Jake Foret, Megan, Paul and Brooke Foret and Jenna Martinez; four great-grandchildren, Andrea and Chloe Duplantis, Kage Trosclair and Reece Foret; and nephew, Gary (Sandra) LeBlanc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Clarisse Grabert Foret; and sister, Dorothy LeBlanc.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at St. Bernadette Soubrious Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

He will be buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
