Wilbert Joseph Brown, 82, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Thursday, July 5, 2007.
He is survived by his caregiver, Lila Arsan; one brother, Henry Brown; four sisters, Daisy Adams, Emma Brown, Evelyn B. Williams, and Carrie Adams; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elitha and Joseph Brown; two stepsons, Clarence W. Robinson and Arthur Robinson; one sister, Essie Arsan; three brothers, Jesse, Irvin, and Herbert Brown; and his grandparents, Emma Walker, Daisy Geoff and Charles Geoff.
Wilbert was a member of Moses Baptist Church and served on the Deacon Board. He was also past superintendent of the Sunday School.
He is buried at Moses Baptist Church Cemetery in Thibodaux, La.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
