Willard “Pat” Chatagnier, 89, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, April 6, 2011.


A veteran of WWII, Mr. Chatagnier was a longtime member and past commander of both the V.F.W. and American Legion posts in Houma, and also a founding member and past president of T.A.R.C. in Houma.


He is survived by his wife, Ruth J. Chatagnier; sons, Randy, Kent and Todd; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Justin; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ernest Sr. and Rose Ledet Chatagnier; five brothers, William “Bill”, Willis, James, Earnest Jr. and Wilfred; and three sisters, Ancianna Belanger, Olivia Theriot and Rose Martin.

He is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Falgout)
