Willie Joseph Galliano, 38, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 4:06 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010.


A born-again believer, Mr. Galliano attended Larose First Baptist Church. He was 100 percent Cajun and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jennifer Carey Galliano; parents, Moise Jr. and Cynthia B. Galliano; daughters, Jordan, Ashley, Lydia and Caroline Galliano; son, Willie Joseph Galliano Jr.; sisters, Wendy (John) Wicher and Kris Galliano; in-laws, David Sr. and Virginia Carey; sisters-in-law, Melissa (Glen) Daigrepont and Leslie Carey; brothers-in-law, Michael Jr. (Aleshia) and Clinton Carey; nephews, Aaron, Ethan, Joshua, Thomas, Braden, Nicholas, Jack and Mikey; nieces, Grace, Mia, Maddie and Briana; maternal grandmother, Ms. Clara P. Bruce; grandmothers-in-law, Ms. Rosa Rhinehart and Ms. Doris Carey; godmother, Rhonda B. Gautreaux; godchildren, Dwight Gautreaux Jr., Thomas Wicher and Braden Perez; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Moise Sr. and Onise L. Galliano; maternal grandfather, Joseph Bruce Jr.; godfather, Bobby Bruce; and uncle, Norris Galliano Sr.

He is buried at Larose First Baptist Church.

A trust fund is being set up in his name at Chase Bank.
