Yvonne Doucet Galliano, 78, a native of Galliano, La. and longtime resident of New Iberia, La., died in an Abbeville care facility Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at 6:45 a.m.

She is survived by one son, Philip Boudeloche Sr. and his wife Judy; two daughters, Joella Callais and her husband Ronald and Mary Collins and her husband Dennis; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Theophile Galliano; and her parents, Oris and Ava Rousse Doucet.

Yvonne was a devout member and parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, as well as the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to the casino, doing crafts, sewing, traveling and having visited California and other locales. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family.

A committal service and entombment is Friday, September 14, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Mausoleum in Galliano.

Her family will serve as her pallbearers.

David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
