Barbara Ledet Chiasson, 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Born December 4, 1939 she was a native of Schriever, Louisiana and resident of Chackbay, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 8:30 AM until service time at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM at the church with burial following in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rogers Chiasson; daughters, Rhonda C. Marshall (Christopher) and Renee Daigle (Dwayne); son, Reese Chiasson (Melanie); grandchildren, Tobie Benoit, Austin Benoit, Rachel Reeser, Leah Burklow, Randall Daigle, Sadie Lassere and Peyton Chiasson, Parker Chiasson; great grandchildren, Cooper Lassere, Alexandra Reeser and Genevieve Reeser; sister, Elsie Arcement.
She is preceded in death by her parents, McLean and Stella Callahan Ledet; son, Randall P. Chiasson; brothers, Earl Ledet, Sr. and Warren Ledet; sisters, Selma Ledet, Dorothy Chiasson and Pearl Sevin.
She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, camping and spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of Haydel Memorial Hospice.
