Charles Joseph Thibodeaux, Jr., aka Chuck or Crazyhorse, 79, died at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:05 pm. Born April 14, 1944 in New Orleans, LA, he was a resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas Thibodeaux (Tanya) and Jason G. Thibodeaux (Jenny); grandchildren, Jarred (Nikki), Jude (Joy), Landon (Brooke), Cheramie (Mark, Jr.); great grandchildren, Danica, Kayden, Skiler, Ethan, Kohen, Harlow, Kasten, Ava, Jameson, Rosabella; sisters, Elaine Hanson (Charles), Linda Carrere (Roland); several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Rhodes Thibodeaux; parents, Charles Thibodeaux, Sr. and Eunice Thibodeaux.
He was a devoted husband and father and married to the love of his life for 57 years. Chuck was a welder and worked for Diamond Offshore until his retirement. He loved fishing and crabbing with his wife and two sons. He also loved drinking his beer, smoking cigarettes, telling stories and eating crawfish.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for the care that they gave their dad these last few months.
As per his wishes, no services to be held.
Ordoyne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
