Rodney James Viallon, 80, died Friday, December 15, 2023 at 7:15 am. Born December 21, 1942 he was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023 from 8:00 AM until service time at Ordoyne Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will begin at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janis Hamilton Viallon; children, Rodney Viallon, Jr. (Debbie), Rachel Viallon; grandchildren, Anthony Viallon (Marisa), Marian Smock; 4 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren; brother, Warren Viallon (Sandra). He is also survived by close family friend, Kayla Adams and her family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Viallon; one great grandchild; and siblings, Mary Ellen Breaux (Wallace), George Geary Viallon (Faith).
Rodney had a strong devotion to the rosary and recited it daily. He also loved playing cards with his family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital.
Ordoyne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
