Daniel “Danny” Jules Clement, 72, with his loving wife, Cathy, by his side, peacefully passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023.
Visitation for Danny will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at Saint Joseph Co-Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 PM with burial following at Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Danny was a lifelong resident of Thibodaux, Louisiana where he was a star high school athlete. He went on to play college football at USL and coached high school football and baseball in his twenties. For the majority of his life, Danny was a hard-working businessman who nurtured long lasting relationships with his customers. Having married his high school sweetheart, Danny was a devoted family man – especially to his three children and five grandchildren. Danny loved living on the bayou, being in his boat, enjoying the outdoors, boiling seafood, watching sports and spending time with his large group of friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lorraine Bergeron Clement; brother, Russell Clement, Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Stanley and Shirley Hebert; and brother-in-law, Jerral Rome.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Hebert Clement; daughters, Alicia (John) DePaula, Brittany (Michael) McMyne; son, Cullen (Dustin) Clement; sister, Linda Rome; brother, Roland (Cherisse) Clement; and five grandchildren, Isabella DePaula, Dawson DePaula, Graham DePaula, Lila McMyne and Juliette McMyne.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the many friends and family members who have spent numerous hours assisting Danny with his care in his final months.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
