Dorothy “Dot” Verret Kraemer, 76, a native of and a resident of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation in her honor on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.


Ms. Dot is survived by her loving first born daughter, Melissa Hagen (Dr. David Hagen) and her children, Krystal Tipton (Jeff), and their sons, Nathan and Lucas Tipton; Cesalie Guidroz (Richard) and their son Beckham Guidroz; Dr. Joshua LeBoeuf (fiancée Rachel); Dot’s beloved son, Rickie Kraemer (Sherry) and his children, Justin Kraemer (Misty), and their daughter, Ava,  Hunter Kraemer (Rachel) and Sarah Kraemer; Dot’s loving step daughters, Ann Earwood (Billy), Linda Robinson (Jeff), and Cynthia Bernucho; grandchildren, Alex, Lee, Beaux, and Marc Kraemer, Billy and Paula Earwood, Brandilyn and Kenneth Kraemer, Joshua Robinson, and Bertie and Mamie Bernucho; 21 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ion “Brother” Verret.

She was preceded in death by her loving and compassionate husband Willard “W. J.” Kraemer, Sr.; parents, Edward and Lucy Verret; step sons, Barry Kraemer and Willard Kraemer, Jr.; and granddaughter, Christina Kraemer.

Ms. Dot was a person when you met her you could never forget her. On August 2, 2023, she changed so many lives. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and love for the Lord. Her green eyes were always glowing, and her smile would light up the room. She has finally been reunited with her loving husband and embraced in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Dot will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
